A set of five stamps were issued by the German Postal Service honouring Motörhead bass player and frontmen Lemmy Kilmister. As an homage to Lemmy's "lucky seven" sales will be limited to only 7777 books.
He was born on christmas eve 1945, in Stoke-on-Trent, England but grew up in North Wales. He founded Motörhead and their success peaked in the early 1980's with great Rock'n'Roll songs including the Ace of Spades.
After several serious health issues in recent years, Lemmy passed way on December 28th 2015. But neither he nor his music will be forgotten and these stamps are here to remind us that he was so much more than a Rock'n'Roll musician.
The stamps are available for sale at the Bild website.
